Ball batik jug with a brass ball Ø of 25 mm

Tjanting made of brass bowl and polished wooden handle. The spherical bowl keeps the wax liquid. These tools are ideal in use with our wax pots. The bowl diameter is approx. 25mm or 35mm. The ball batik jugs are also available with two or three spouts. Please state the art. no. (e.g. 26105 with double spout).

This longtrusted appliance is now being produced by our company. The modified form of the casing gives it more stability and simplifies winding up the cable as well as adding contemporary color. Technically, all of the proven components have been retained, especially the 0.3 liter melting cup and the practical, graded temperature dial. Six openings in the no-drip rim let the wax flow back into the cup unstead of running down outside. Every appliance is tested functionally before delivery. Individually packed in cardboard box.

Functional Information

  • The graded temperature dial maked possible fine adjustment of the temperature to keep the wax melted.
  •  For the most generally used working temperatures, the dial is turned to +/-6.
  • The wax pot is switched off when the dial is turned to 0.
  • Dripless batik work with the tjanting or batikpot is easiest when the wax does no exceed the minimum marking on the wax cup.
  • For brush work, more wax can be added desired.
  • The no-drip rim for wiping of excess wax is inside the cup.
  • The melting down of the wax of the sides of the cup aids the adding of additional wax without a drop in temperature.
  • Before beginning the work, traces of old wax should be wiped away with a cloth.

Safety Instructions

The appliance and the melted wax are very hot when the melter is in use; therefore to avoid burns, it should not be carried around while still hot. After turning the appliance off, wait until the pot and the wax have cooled off. Always carry the appliance by the handles. Never submerge the appliance in water even when it is unplugged. Cleaning should be done with a cloth to remove wax residue. Never leave the appliance unattended especially when children are nearby. For safety reasons, the appliance is sealed with specials screws. Do not attempt to take the appliance apart.
